Okay, none of this is actually vintage, except maybe my dad's 1964 Mustang in the background. That being said, there's a way to do a vintage look without being so literal about it. I've been noticing lately that flares and 70's are in. I'm not one to usually jump on the trends band wagon, but I do love the 70's. This outfit is 70's inspired, but with a modern twist. In Paramore world, this t-shirt is vintage (it's a tour t-shirt from 2007), but they're still a current band. Similarly, the jeans I'm wearing are from my mom's revival of the 70's brand Dittos. One thing to note about wearing super wide flares, you need some high shoes to prevent your pant legs from dragging on the ground. Well, at least this is true for me because I'm not all that tall. Jeffrey Campbells have some good platforms that could give you some height under any wide flares.

It's been a long time since I rock n rolled... Not really, I just got back from spring break in Brazil! It was such a fun trip and it was great to see four different cities in just one short week. I decided to go to Brazil for spring break because 1) my dad was on tour in South America with Slash and spring break fell on the same week that he would be in Brazil AND 2) I've never been to South America before. Let it be known that rock n roll is still alive and well in South America. In one week we went to Brasilia, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, and São Paulo (even though I was only in São Paulo for less than a day). Not only did I get to explore the cities, but I also got to play on stage with my dad in Porto Alegre! It was awesome and I have never played in front of THAT many people before. We played a Rolling Stones song called Dead Flowers, which seemed a bit fitting for the title of this flowery post. 

SO, while I was in Brazil, I did some shopping. I found this floral printed jumpsuit at Zara in Brasilia. I know it sounds lame that I was overseas and went to Zara, but it's actually cool because they carry totally different pieces. This jumpsuit is something I definitely don't have and I kind of love it for spring. It's an easy outfit in one. I know it's not my usual "glam rock" go-to look, but it's a more casual and Coachella spin on the 70's leather jumpsuits I usually obsess over. I paired the jumpsuit with my favorite Chloé boots and a skull bracelet I got from a street vendor on Olvera Street in LA, then I was off to the Grove with Keelan to look for our Coachella outfits.

If you're like me, I'm not one to walk out of the house in workout clothes. I workout and immediately shower and change; however, lately I've been noticing more and more women walking around every day in active wear. So this is where SOLOW comes into the picture. My mom recently started collaborating with an activewear line called SOLOW, but what's great about SOLOW is it is designed to be worn from gym to street. I know I know, it's my mom blahblahblah, but I honestly really like their pieces. This windbreaker reminds me of a leather jacket, and these leggings are slouchy and cropped and hardly look like workout leggings! This post is dedicated to RECYCLING! I'm not much of a thrift shopper, but when I do Wasteland is my favorite place to go. I'm just not very patient and have a hard time sifting through clothes for hours, but I can always count on Wasteland to have a good selection (plus it's not overwhelming). Recently I found out about this awesome jewelry line called Urban Lace who make their jewelry out of recycled bicycle inner tubes! I was immediately drawn to their Siren bracelet, because I thought it was kind of punk and looked like fish net tights. After getting this bracelet, I was inspired to put together a recycled look. This outfit head-to-toe (with the exception of the jewelry) is entirely thrifted from Wasteland. I also got this really awesome motorcycle ring from Frisk Jewelry (not recycled) but wanted to show that off because it's pretty rad too!!
