Friends with Style: Ariel Beesley
Meet Ariel Beesley! You may already recognize her from scrolling through your Instagram feeds, or maybe you saw her modeling for oh... you know.... Marc Jacobs! But, did you also know that this platinum model babe is also a poet and musician? Ariel and I have many mutual friends, but were formally introduced when my mom cast her via Instagram for her Solow photo shoot. Ariel is super sweet and cool and I thought she would be a perfect person to interview on Frankie's Planet as she is both a rad model and talented singer/songwriter! Who's your style/music icon?
Hmm I don't really have one to be honest, but Debbie Harry is a babe.
Who/what inspired you to do what you do?
I've been writing ever since I can remember. I was always writing little poems as a kid, and when I was 14 I started playing guitar and putting the poems to music. My Dad taught me my first few guitar chords and how to read tabs. From there I started writing my own tunes. It wasn't until I was 17 though, when my dad came back from hawaii with a ukulele that I picked them up and really found my sound.
Where is your favorite place to shop?
I love Goodwill! My man found me a pair of Saint Laurent suit pants there for 10 bucks.
What’s the last movie you saw?
This "horror" movie called Clown. Not very scary...hahah
Where is your favorite place to eat?
Mmm I love food so I have lots but the first place that comes to mind is this little hole in the wall mexican place called Cactus in Hollywood. Best mexican food evaaa.
Describe your perfect day.
To wake up, play my uke for a bit, then go on some sort of adventure! I love discovering new places.

What are you currently working on?
Currently i'm in the UK/Sweden working and recording my tunes with different producers! Will have a single out soon. Really excited!

Stay true to yourself and never give up. You can achieve anything you set your mind to.
