Thank you to my boyfriend Keelan for helping me take photos, and for just being the best person to hangout with all weekend. 

First, I'd like to say I'm sorry for being kind of absent for the past couple of weeks. They have been pretty hectic trying to get school work done, midterm portfolios, and picking out my Coachella outfits (a pretty big headache). I had such a great weekend, starting out seeing a last minute Julian Casablancas show at the Roxy in Hollywood. ( I was only a few feet away from him, and I've never had a bigger smile on my face) Then of course I had Coachella, which never disappoints. My highlight was 100% seeing Julian Casablancas at Mojave, and even though he only played one random Strokes song, I still worship the ground that he walks on. Last week I was so excited to hear from my friend Cassidy Turner who asked to take photos of me for my blog! I have known Cassidy for a really long time and she is an amazingly talented photographer! My mom recently brought home these awesome gold metallic shorts, which I paired with a David Bowie top, silver pumps, a blazer, my favorite hat, and mirrored sunglasses. Gold and metallic naturally remind me of David Bowie, hence the Bowie shirt choice. Also, I'm obsessed with mirrored sunglasses, partially because Julian Casablancas turned me onto them. SPEAKING OF Julian Casablancas, guess who's going to the Governor's Ball music festival in NYC over the summer? SO excited to see The Strokes! Stay tuned for more photos taken by Cassidy on my blog!

Another sunny day in LA! The perfect time to pull out your favorite shorts and go out and about. Today I went to Downtown LA to check out some of the trade shows in the design spaces (It was SO hard not buying anything.) I decided to wear my new cut-out Frankie B. shorts with a band tee and Jeffrey Campbell booties as an easy sunny day outfit. Band tee's are my usual go-to item especially when I can't decide what to wear with shorts. NOTE: wear a band tee that you can name at least 3 songs from the bands! I chose one of my favorite bands The Black Keys (I've seen them live 3 times and they are great!) These Jeffrey Campbells were featured in one of my old posts, but they really can go with so many different outfits. I've also just been on a white shoe kick lately.

Today, I was feeling in an all black kind of mood and considering most of my wardrobe consists of black, you can imagine these moods happen quite often. Also, when am I not feeling black, lace and studs? I have always been really inspired by punk style and when I received some of these rad pieces from the rock n roll brand Pretty Attitude, I couldn't be more excited to style them! I decided to pair this awesome punk pencil skirt with a band t-shirt, but you could totally rock this with a crop top too (I just love showing my music pride). I like to think this outfit is what happens when a goth goes to Coachella.
