And if a silver metallic jacket wasn't enough, here's a silver metallic jumpsuit. I wore this jumpsuit for my David Bowie halloween costume this year, but I think it's going to be my new stage outfit. Why am I wearing a stage outfit? Well, to show off this awesome guitar. This guitar is called the "Wilshire Phant-o-matic" by Epiphone and it totally reminds me of something Joan Jett would use. I've been jonesing for a white guitar for a while and this one is super lightweight and has a small neck (helpful for me because I have the world's smallest hands). Thanks Gibson 90210 showroom for hooking me up and letting me visit your rad showroom!! The jumpsuit is something I ordered online and then cut off one sleeve to make even more David Bowie esque.

Last week I was so excited to hear from my friend Cassidy Turner who asked to take photos of me for my blog! I have known Cassidy for a really long time and she is an amazingly talented photographer! My mom recently brought home these awesome gold metallic shorts, which I paired with a David Bowie top, silver pumps, a blazer, my favorite hat, and mirrored sunglasses. Gold and metallic naturally remind me of David Bowie, hence the Bowie shirt choice. Also, I'm obsessed with mirrored sunglasses, partially because Julian Casablancas turned me onto them. This may not be your typical saturday afternoon tea outfit, but who said typical was cool? Today I went out for tea in Beverly Hills but had some trouble finding a dress fit for a civilized afternoon tea. So I thought why not just dress up my new jeans with pumps and a dressy top? I'm loving the idea of cropped jeans right now, especially with spring around the corner (shout out to my mom for the jean inspiration). I know some may think mixing gold and silver are a fashion no-no, but I kind of thought this worked out nicely. What are some fashion no-no's that you like to defy?
